Lynker Wins PIFSC Guam & CNMI Biosampling!

Lynker is excited to have recently been awarded a new ProTech Fisheries task that combines the previously separate PIFSC FRMD Guam and CNMI Bottomfish Management Unit Species (BMUS) Biosampling projects into one contract. Lynker was the incumbent contract holder for the Guam BMUS effort, while Micronesian Environmental Services (MES) has held the CNMI contract for the past several years. We are honored to be transitioning several MES employees to the Lynker family to support the combined initiative that will conduct data and biological sampling collection operations as well as data entry and quality control processing.

We are proud to be expanding our current support to NOAA Fisheries’ fishery independent survey efforts in Hawaii that provide population level size structured abundance indices for bottomfish populations existing at depths with our recent award to assist with these surveys in the US Pacific Islands territories (Guam, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa). Our team will deploy camera as well as hook-and-line sampling gear.
