Lynker Wins NWS NCEP Central Operations Contract!

Lynker is thrilled to be awarded NOAA’s National Weather Service NCEP Central Operations Network Infrastructure Services contract! This contract provides mission critical support of the networks that support the NWS mission by collecting and distributing raw and processed meteorological data and products. All mission critical watches and warnings, which are intended to save life and property, are routed through these networks.

Team Lynker members – Lynker, Leidos, and Earth Space Technology Services, LLC – comprise an expert technical team to provide the needed network support and expertise in the operations and maintenance of networking services, equipment, and software.

Lynker attended and was an exhibitor at Restore America’s Estuaries’ 2022 Coastal & Estuarine Summit in New Orleans.  The goal of this meeting was to discuss strategies to effectively manage, protect, and restore coastal communities’ resources in a changing climate.

Lynker’s Research Specialist Eden Zang’s presentation on NOAA’s research efforts at Hawaiian Island Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary was published on The Maui News. Researchers shared results from acoustic monitoring efforts, vessel surveys and tagging work as well as whale risk assessment and health efforts, including whale entanglement response.
